About Jmas
The Association is a registered society under the Singapore law. It was formed in 1998 to serve the growing Shia Ithna Asheri muslim community in Singapore. It aims to promote the understanding of true Islam as taught by Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w). The Prophet urged his followers that after him they should continue to hold firmly to two precious things to avoid being misguided – the Holy Quraan and his pure household.

Centre
It gives the JMAS Management Committee great pleasure to share with you the good news that on February 14th 2017, we have Alhamdulillah made the remaining payments of S$3.39 million to the seller and have acquired the ownership of AECC (17/17C Lorong 15, Geylang). As you know we had already initially paid around S$ 1 million and hence the total payment made comes to S$4.4 million.
Now we have our own bigger centre which is owned by the Shia community of Singapore. Thanks to Almighty Allah swt and the Imam of our time for this great gift.

An Introduction to Islam
(Taken from An Introduction to Islam, Sayyid Muhammad Rizvi)
What is Islam?
Islam is a religion which guides its followers in every aspect of their lives. It is a way of life.
Islam is the modern or latest version of the message sent by God through Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus. Islam was sent to mankind through Prophet Muhammad. Islam is “modern” in the sense that it has come to complement the teachings which were introduced through Moses and Jesus.
Islam is a religion which seeks to give a meaningful purpose to our life on this earth. It seeks to guide us in fulfilling that purpose by creating harmony between ourselves, our Creator and fellow human beings.
What you will read below are some of the basic features of Islam.
About
Shia
The name “Shī‘a” or “Shi‘ite” entered the Western media’s common vocabulary during the Islamic Revolution of Iran, and it is being frequently heard now in context of the war in Iraq when reporters or commentators say that sixty to sixty-five percent of the Iraqis are “Shi‘ite” or “Shī‘a Muslims”.
If you travel across the Middle East and Asia, you will soon realize that besides the similarity and uniformity found among the Muslims on basic issues, there is also a great diversity in the world of Islam. Not only in the composition of its membership but also in thought and practice: there are different theological sects and a variety of spiritual brotherhoods.
